Anton High School this year

As most of us will remember many of us wrote emails last year supporting Anton making the move to 6-man after having to cancel most of their games last year due to not enough players to play in 11-man. They did make the move to 6-man and so far this year here they are:

I think we should all give a shout out to this newcomer and tell them congrats on a great season so far. It is tough making the move to what is looked at by many to be "inferior" football but we all know that it is NOT a move down but a MOVE UP!!!

Congratulations to the Anton High School, their players, coaching staff, supporting staff and fans. We look forward to watching your progress for many year in the wonderful world of 6-man football.

Those young men have my respect. They are obviously learning the game quickly. I hope they end this season with more wins than losses.

That explains alot about why Anton was so good in basketball last year, I'm sure coach Dutton found a way to capitalize on missing a mojority of the football season, I have to disagree with moving to sixman being a hard transition, anton missed most of last season according to this post and are above mediocre this year, any of the teams moving to sixman next year that had atleast a 5 and 5 record or better this year will be a top 10 team next year in sixman and be a dominant force for several years to come.

the reason Anton had good team is because most of the basketball players didnt even play football.they played basketball all summer and during football season they played basketball. if the school board had decided to go sixman at the first chance Anton would have had a dang good football team because the basketball players would have played football.

Hey,

I am a Texas Tech guy. I know the Moore's in Anton. I think the 6 Man move is an excellent move. It is more exciting to watch. I am going to reach out to the coach as well. They are in a sweet spot and should be a force in the future.
