Matagorda ISD will add a High School program in the Fall of 2022. We are looking for 2 enthusiastic & hard working coaches to help build a culture of excellence in athletics. Coaching positions will be for the JH and HS level. Sports that will be introduced are as follows: JH (XC, Volleyball, Football, Basketball (currently participate), Track) HS (XC, Basketball, Golf, Track). We would like to play football and have volleyball at the JH & HS level in 2022. This will be determined by enrollment and participation numbers.
Above positions could be head coaching positions based on fit and experience.
Teaching fields that are available include: Math, Science, and Social Studies.
CDL is preferred, but not required.
Salary is above state base at appropriate step for years taught. You will also receive a competitive stipend (compared to other 1A districts) plus days at your daily rate.
Please have a growth mindset and be prepared to build an athletic program from the ground level.
