6 Man Football Broadcasting

Howdy everyone! Longtime fan-first time poster. I run a broadcast company that'll be doing a video stream of Tyler HEAT vs. Greenville Christian Saturday night and I wanted to get some input. What are some things or elements you'd like to see if you were to view a 6 man game on TV? Of course the nature of the sport opens a lot of doors but I want to make sure that we do the game proud with what we're capable of!

Will you be covering just private schools or include coverage on some UIL teams too? Are you a regional broadcast company? The more coverage the better.

Cool! If it’s a live broadcast with commentary, commentators should be knowledgeable of the nuances of the sport. If the ability and technology is there to produce live instant replays for viewers, that would also be cool. Just my thoughts.

Instant replay is the easy part my friend! I’m pretty well versed in 6 man and I’m training my camera ops and color guy the rules as well!

Our company is 99% 11 man public and private but Tyler HEAT is a big part of the network “lineage” so we try to showcase the football squad when we can! The main setback with doing more 6 man is setup. We have a massive setup with cameras, PCs and other stuff. So it’s pretty hard to find venues to properly setup while delivering a great product!

That would be great. 6 man deserves coverage too. It’s been long overdue

The best video broadcasts with commentary I've seen for 6 man has been the Rankin crew. They do a great job! I believe a few years ago, they even had cameras on the sideline and would switch camera feeds like any football game you'd see on TV.
