2016 Playoff Scenarios

With what's been reported tonight (late Friday) here's where we stand for the playoffs.

DIVISION I
1 - Happy in driver's seat (at McLean). White Deer looking good for 2nd (at Miami)
2 - Nazareth at Anton (both in)
3 - Meadow sitting pretty (v Lorenzo). New Home at Ropes, probably for 2nd
4 - Paducah at Knox City for the title (both in)
5 - Borden County district champ. Ira Runner-up.
6 - Garden City (odds on champ) host Robert Lee. Sterling City at Westbrook, likely for second
7 - Buena Vista (host Rankin) and is in driver's seat for title. Marfa hosts Fort Davis and looks to gain runner-up spot
8 - Santa Anna is district champ (v. Paint Rock). Veribest at Water Valley for second spot.
9 - Medina (yes, Medina) is district champ (at Nueces Canyon). Eden at Lometa for runner-up.
10 - Jonesboro is district champ (at Evant). Blanket at Zephyr for second playoff spot.
11 - May (at Gordon) in driver's seat at 2-0. Gorman at Lingleville. May/Gorman wins give 1-2 spot, otherwise we worry about 3-way tie.
12 - Newcastle (v. Saint Jo) is champ, Bryson runner-up (regular season over).
13 - Blum at Avalon for 1-2.
14 - Abbott (hosts Gholson) and is undefeated in district. Coolidge best option for second with win (v. Penelope)
15 - Savoy at Tioga for 1-2
16 - Union Hill (v. Chester) looks headed for first. High Island, Leverett's Chapel, Apple Springs still in hunt

1 - Lefors at Follett for 1-2
2 - Valley (at Hedley) likely champ with Groom at Silverton for second playoff spot.
3 - Amherst (at Lazbuddie) is district champ. Whitharral (open) is runner-up
4 - Petersburg (v. Wilson) like champ as Southland at Motley County battle for second.
5 - Grandfalls-Royalty at Balmorhea for 1-2
6 - Dawson at Sands for 1-2
7 - Loraine (v Trent) like champ. Highland at Blackwell for the second place.
8 - Jayton at Guthrie (likely-no Guthrie week 10 score yet) for 1-2
9 - Crowell in control (v Northside). Chillicothe should be second with win over Harrold.
10 - Aspermont (v. Lueders-Avoca) leader for title right now. Rule likely second v Throckmorton.
11 - Moran at Strawn for 1-2
12 - Panther Creek win (at Mullin) and they win district with Brooksmith as runner-up. A loss and we have a three-way tie.
13 - Cherokee at Richland Springs for 1-2
14 - Iredell in first right now, hosts Cranfills Gap. Walnut Springs hosts Morgan. An Iredell/Walnut combo gives them 1-2.
15 - Milford (v. Mt. Calm) wins district title. Oakwood at Trinidad for runner-up.
16 - Calvert (at Prairie Lea) is most likely champ. Oglesby win (at Buckholts) and they are second.

7 - Loraine (v Trent) is district champion. Highland at Blackwell play Friday for runner-up.
Loraine has already won against Highland and Blackwell.

I would guess the reason that Guthrie had no score reported was that Patton Springs forfeited. They haven't played in quite a while now.

If Calvert loses Quan, they could be upset.

Same scenario with RS. If coaches Burkhart, Rodgers and the WV assistant cant attend, then Jordan and Tippey are injured...it could happen if a couple more miss the bus.

Rs and whoever wants to try and compete. Calvert with the best spread back in six man can compete with RS and them alone. RS has a special team this year. It would be a matter of RS stopping Calvert a time or 2.

I agree R.S is strong as ever and Coach B is one of the best. But Calvert is known to fall apart under pressure. But just like any given Sunday on any given Friday a good team can lose. I don't play into these spreads or the rankings... Because the game is played on the field.... Displine,skill and heart gets you the W...

I hope RS and Calvert play in Moody this year. It was nice seeing them Duke it out so close to home.
