Issue with week 2 spreads

An issue with the week 2 spreads was brought to my attention and, after digging into it briefly, it's obvious that there is definitely a problem somewhere in the code.

I'm away from my computer at the moment but as quickly as I can get home I'll get the issue corrected and spreads updated again. In the meantime, I wouldn't trust any of the spreads!

Week 1 Rankings / Week 2 Spreads

After finally tracking down all the scores (to the games I knew about), the rankings have been updated.

Also, the week 2 spreads are now ready!

Thanks to everyone who posted, texted or emailed scores to me this week. It was much appreciated!

Finally Football Time!

It's finally high school football time in Texas y'all! Words can't express how excited I am for this upcoming season.

I just wanted to quickly say good luck to all the teams competing tonight, and throughout this season.

Please don't forget to get your final scores to me. Any way that you can do that (email, text, Twitter, private message, the forums or just stopping me in person) is greatly appreciated.

Again, good luck to all the players, coaches, traveling fans, and to anyone else who will be supporting these teams throughout the season!

Submitting scores

Last season, as my first season doing this, gathering scores was (by far) the hardest part. That's why there are so many ways to submit scores. This season will be no different. I'll take the scores any way I can get them, whichever is easiest for all of you.

That being said, I wanted to take a minute to share all the different ways you can submit scores.

Live updates

The only way to submit live updates, currently, is either directly on the live scoreboard or by text message to (940) 412-1412. Please note that this number is for updates only (no calls or other texts) and if your text doesn't match the required format, it may be held in moderation before it is posted live.

Final scores

Since these are required for other parts of the site to function, there are a lot more ways to get these to me.

Just like with updates, you can submit final scores to the live scoreboard, or via text to the update number.
You can also text final scores directly to me at (940) 839-8424.
Also, for those of you who use Twitter, please tag me in your final scores @sixmanfb. I try to retweet all final score updates I'm tagged in.
Finally, you can submit final scores by posting them in the weekly threads in the score central forum.

A few minor changes

As suggested by a member on the forums, the spreads have now been sorted to show the home team first. Please note that this only works if the home team is actually playing at home. If it's a neutral or TBD game, this may not always be the case.

Also, as I've become aware of a few teams that will not be fielding teams this year I've moved those teams to inactive. Since I'd already posted the rankings, removing these teams leaves gaps in the rankings. So, before Thursday I'll be re-doing them. Most teams will remain unaffected but some teams may see their rank (not their rating) change by a few numbers.
