Why so political on Tebow?

I posted in this forum to make sure mostly everyone saw this. The Jets are going to start their 3rd string QB, and skip Tebow.

Tebow is not a bad QB! And the Jets suck, why not give him a chance?

Maybe Cowboys will pick him up.....

Tebow is a fine young man. I think he has high moral standards & ethics. Having said
that, he is not a great QB from a fundamentals point of view. He is a winner and would probably
win wherever he plays based just on his sheer determination and will to excel.
Coaches try to fit him in the mold of the prototypical pro QB.
I was pondering today about Tebow playing the spread back
position in 6man.......... How good would that be.........

as a Broncos fan, we saw firsthand the circus that follows Tebow. He is an upstanding person who seems to embody everything we would want our players to be. That said, Tebow fans are an irrational lot (in general) who fail to see his shortcomings as a quarterback. If he were to swallow his pride and accept a position other than quarterback I believe NFL teams would be more apt to use him, given the fact that he is a proven winner. His fans are really what makes him such a polarizing figure in my opinion.

Coach, RGIII and Cam Newton aren't what you would call prototypical NFL QBs either. But, they've had success with coaches willing to play to their strengths. Why doesn't Tebow deserve that? Why must he accept another position? Newton and RGIII would make great players at other positions too.

I think TE alluded to this about 5-6 years ago, really admired his jump pass and style in general.

If the good people of RS took up a collection to cover his contract and come up with a fake birth certificate I'll bet Coach Burk would guarntee him plenty of playing time..........

You can't honestly compare Tebow to Cam and especially RG3. They are much better passers and can put the necessary zip on the ball required in the NFL. The speed of the game in the NFL is the reason it will be hard for Tebow to ever be a consistent, successful quarterback. He doesn't have near the arm of both Cam and RG3.

I will say one thing is he is a freak athlete. Incredibly strong with decent speed. That's why people think he would be a good fit at TE in the pros. I read when he was a freshman he was already one of the strongest players on UF's team as a freshman. Was lifting with the O-line. Could be legend talk though.

CCC Inc in the beautiful 2 storie sky scrapper in downtown RS already done called his daddy

Hey CT6MFL, talk to Tebow's manager. Couple high profile players and we will be set!

As tempting as that sounds, he would most likely pee himself from laughing.

Why play with us when he will have commercials;)

Not being a coach or pretending to know the intracies of the game I have to just wonder. Read about using Tebow as a tight end. Can he catch? Can he block? If so why not use him as a kind of hybrid fullback? He could still run like out of the wildcat, even an occasional direct snap. He could do a run pass (short passes) option on pitch outs. D would have to bring up multiple people if it looks like run to stop him, opens up those 10-15 yard passes he can make. I know , has to be multiple reasons it wouldn't work.

I'm not a coach either, but isn't the West Coast offense designed for those 10-15 yard passes?

Heck if I was Rob Ryan I'd take him as a OLB or DE. Channel his frustrations. Imagine him as a bookend to Ware.
The Manster come again.

Why do I have the feeling that Tebow won't be a team that has a Ryan on the coaching staff?

This is a fan's viewpoint from watching every Broncos game last season on TV - I obviously don't claim to be an NFL caliber coach. Tebow's inconsistency at throwing the ball made it difficult for WR's to adjust. His passes were all over the place, there was no timing or rhythm in the passing game. Brandon Lloyd (now with the Patriots) wanted out of Denver because he didn't want Tebow throwing him passes. I can't imagine going across the middle & not knowing (or trusting) that the ball will be placed somewhere that a) gives the WR an opportunity to catch it & b) doesn't get the WR's hung out to dry & destroyed. While Tebow helped lead the team to the playoffs and a first round win via miraculous comebacks - Denver is in the worst division in the NFL & has a very good defense - both helped Tebow win games more than his arm did.

put any of the qb at the pro level with a coach like gruden and you will se vast improvement someone should hire him and pay him well and you would see vast improvement!!!
