Six Man's second season begins in D1 Dist 2. Petersburg v Spur - I like Petersburg in this game. Kress v Hedley in a non-conference tilt - Kress wins again this week. Valley v Paducah - Valley is banged up. Paducah is on the road. The Guru's "Toy" has the spread even up. Hmmm. Against better judgement, I am going to pick Valley at home. When district starts, the Patriots turn it up a notch.

The first week of district play has created chaos.

Valley 1-0
Spur 1-0
Kress 0-0
Paducah 0-1
Pete 0-1

What a difference a week can make. This time last week folks - well, at least me - were wondering if Valley's mojo had finally played out after 14 or so consecutive playoff appearances. One week later, and Valley has regained control of the driver's seat for yet another playoff appearance, if not an outright district championship.

And the icing on the cake for week 6 is that the Paducah brain trust went a combined 0-6 in picking District 2 games.
