Week 6

Chillicothe vs Harrold. Gotta go with the Hornets again this week!!
Northside vs Knox City.
Crowell vs Petersburg. I hope the Wildcats from last friday show up again this friday in Petersburg. Should be a good one!!
Paducah has a bye.

District play starts next week!!

yeah i agree with harrold over chillicothe. i hope their main running back is doin ok from his concussion, but if they work together with no mental mistakes they can beat the eagles.
Crowell will have a good game. i think with them coming off a great homecoming win they'll be fired up to get a win on the road this week. go wildcats.

harrold over chilli

crowell over petersburg

someone from crowell text me after the game so i know who won.

oh yeah pudge from harrold i hope get better from your concussion.

Looks like Crowell went in overconfident this week. Live and learn and move forward. Go in to each game motivated and you will win this district. District is next! The only games that count. Good luck to this district.

What happened to Crowell? Were there injuries? Did the wind mess with the passing game?

I'm not trying to start anything. I am genuinely shocked at the score, and figure there has to be a reason for such a one-sided loss.

I'm not trying to start anything either, but maybe the answer is that there are some better teams playing and in this hunt than you had envisioned.

I think crowell didnt get the memo that they were going to a football game. You would think that after a win like they had last week they would come out fired up and ready to do business but in my opinion they were lacking that. Petersburg came out and did their job and walked away with the win. Hopefully next week the wildcats will come out and get the job done.

Now for the ref crew. They must of won the be a ref for a day out of the cracker jack box. They threw so many flags they had to call a time out and put icy hot on their arms. Good refs must be hard to find in the lbk area.

I'm not discounting Petersburg at all. Seeing two teams that highly ranked play one another, I expected a closer game. Pete barely beat Meadow, and they beat Crowell by 40? Sounds like an injury, or weather, or something happened on the Crowell side.

There were no injuries, they just came in unprepared for a homecoming matchup. They lost the mental aspect of the game. When you stop training hard to be a champion, That my friend is what keeps you from being a champion. So, basically what I am saying is that they beat themselves. The Refs could account for maybe oneTD, but the rest, can't put the blame on the rules. I think they can learn from the experience, also, Petersburg is a good team, can't take anything away from them. They have had Crowells # two yrs in a row now, so better luck next year, or hopefully in another game down the line. I am happy that Crowell has had a phenomenal pre-season, this should help them down the road. Good luck the remainder of the season.

Six-man football is funny in how teams match up. Two teams that are very similar can play a team and have completely different outcomes, because every team matches up differently. Computers can not predict this match up. In Crowell's case, for two years, they can not back up their ranking against Petersburg. Petersburg is very unique sixman team due their physical size and strength. Most sixman teams aren't used to playing against "big" boys. Crowell got overwhelmed from Petersburg's defensive strength, and couldn't get their brains to function.

Defensively, Crowell played good I thought. Petersburg is a team that is good enough to put 45 points on the board (they shouldn't be putting defensive points on the board although). Crowell just couldn't get their offensive machine going to match Petersburg. I think they will learn from this situation. Crowell has to learn how to get a play going even when the defense is hard in their faces. I think that on another night, this score could be different. Petersburg just had the Wildcats figured out last Friday, just like the Wildcats trumped the Matadors the week before. My hat is off to Petersburg; they did a good job.

steve,

Not that it matters, but that was one of the most experienced officiating crews in the Lubbock chapter. They have more years experience than the coaches combined - by far.

I don't know if this has been said but, not putting back crowels win, The Motley Team they beat is not the team anyone, besides Amhurst, has played. Coach Bigham can clear this up but from what i've been told, something happend and several players were benched for that game and from what i hear the Amhurst game as well.
