Week 2... Games of Interest

One last thing cowboy so i wont have to hear you for a while. How did your two point nail bitter game go against dallas the covenant last week? What your kidding they beat yall 46-0 wow maybe i shouldnt be betting on your picks then.

I just got off work. Aquilla did get 45'd, and I won't make any excuses. They fell apart at the end of the first quarter and covenant didn't - end of story. I have nothing against Oakwood, I just think Milford is better. In fact, I expect Oakwood to make it to at least the 3rd round. David, I'm not sure what your problem is, but learn the facts before you make yourself into a rainjack clone.

We shall see in a few more days. After this game either way the team that wins is going up in rankings.
We will see, and it's possible I'm wrong. But, have you ever known anyone that could pick 100%?

Always find it interesting that there are people that will call you out on your predictions but never seem to have the foresight to make their own. And if they do, they restrict the predictions to only a very very few games.

Not at all hard to pick and choose but try to come up with 100+ predictions each week. Oh , and be at least 70% correct.

I'm not sure I can comment much on the Oakwood/Milford game, but we did see Milford and Zephyr play week 0. All I can add is that in what appears to be an even game, it should be a match up issue. What I saw from the stands during the Milford/Zephyr game was that Milford had one good spread back that could make defenders miss in space, he had speed, and more importantly, after he bought time by making people miss in the backfield, he still had the ability to deliver the ball to receivers down field. While the team on the whole did not seem overwhelming, the guy, I believe his name was Russell, kept making plays. On the other hand, while Zephyr seemed totally outmanned talent-wise, they still made a comeback and had a chance to win the game. I have not seen Oakwood, but would be interested to hear what they have that can stop the Milford spread back.

All this being said, I thought Geneva and Abilene Christian, who played the following night, would have handed it to both Zephyr and Milford. They were much deeper and had just as much speed. Abilene Christian cruised to 30 point win against Cherokee after their starting QB went to the hospital in the 1st quarter. And Geneva was up 40-8 at the end of the first quarter against Rochelle; and finished the game playing freshmen who made the trip.

Passing will be hard to do against oakwood because of two six foot 4 and six 5 inch with really good speed and athletism. Oakwood flys to the ball and can tackle in open field. Made zephyr look somewhat slow. If milford throws the ball a lot get ready for some pics and maybe even pick six with the athletism they have with the ball in there hands. Oakwood was great on offense last year and has made slight improvement this year. The biggest change for oakwood this year is there defense. From what ive seen its very formidable.

I'm 34 of 40 so far this year. Not too shabby for guesswork.

not too bad cowboy, I was 78% correct out of 110 games but I need to be above 85% to consider the system as working. still ironing out a few bugs due to the loss of all my historical data.

I always am amused by people who live and die by the rankings................

mostly I' m amused thinking I would even publish the pitiful attempt to forcast 6man games with the sparce data I have to work with, heck I'm amused by dust motes in a sun beam.
