Weak Teams

You know its a weak year when the mighty US of A loses to CANADA!! I feel as if this game is unappreciated Texas send your best players to this game I understand the all-star game is big but when else do you get to represent your country and your state? Keep the tradition alive of winning since 2010-2011-2012-2013. Lest do it again in 2014 as a member of the 2010 team good luck!

It's a little early to be concerned with the Can-Am Bowl. It was a great experience but nobody starts with picking the teams until MArch.

I'll bite on this topic...

True last year was a GREAT senior class of six-man players state wide, which made last year's Can-Am team maybe the best ever I'd say...

So in a sense yes this year's team/class of seniors around six-man won't be as awesome as far as name recognition goes...it doesn't necessarily mean that teams state wide are weaker this year.

I think there are 3 Grandfall's kids that would be great picks...and Woods at Follett with out question. Milford's star player is one of the best in six-man and is a senior...Crowell has a few and that stud from Newcastle...those right there would make one heck of all-star team...and I know there are many more out there.

So don't right off teams and players this season just because a FEW teams aren't as great as they were last year.

I think state wide there were more teams that I would say were "stronger" this year than "weaker"...but that some of the top teams might have been seen as being "weaker" this year (Gordon, Throckmorton, Borden County, Rankin and even Abbott would possibly fall into that category)

I believe whoever is the Texas coach this year should just pick 3 D1 players and 3 D2 players as far as I know Texas almost always has six and Colorado usually has 7 followed by Montana and Nebraska.
