Waco Live Oak

What is up with Waco live oak this year? They haven't beaten the spread once this year. Anyone seen them play. I have heard they aren't what they used to be.

We played LOC last week (28-25). It was a real barn burner all the way to the end. I can assure you, they are a very good football team! We had our chances to defeat the defending state champs but with a very muddy field and losing two key players to injuries, it just wasn't our night.

TCAL DI will be fun to watch! I think LOC will defiantly be in the hunt come November. Waco Methodist, Tomball and SA FEAST should all be there as well.

Please keep my boys in your prayers! I have lost 3 seniors the last two weeks; all 3 are game changers! Hopefully we will be healthy for district and or the post season.

Blessings on your week 3 game!

Live Oak had quite a few players graduate last year and has one senior on the team this year. I understand that the lines and power rankings tend to take a few weeks to take into account the changes in personnel from the previous year's team.

Was at the Bastrop game and agree with coachbill that it was a fun (and muddy!) game. Hoping your injured are back and playing for the Warriors real soon.

Waco Live Oak is not to be overlooked but have many new playrs who are starting to jell together. Great Coaches AD and spirit will keep the LOCS football running toward the goal lines all year.

Live Oaks Champioship team had 7seniors that had played together for 4 very solid years. The young men that take the field now as juniors (mostly) have been playing behind those seniors and practicing against that team for the last couple of years. "Iron sharpens Iron" this group of young men are experienced enough to make a run at the playoffs. Billy, we appreciated the hospitality in Bastrop. In regards to the point spreads let me say this. Our coaching staff has pulled the starters an let the underclass men take the field when the game was in control. I personally think that's the way it should be. The other part of the "spread" equation is the fact (at least in my mind) that sometimes teams are underestimated and overestimated from one season to the next . I don't care that much about the spreads as long as the wins keep coming. This team is carrying on the winning tradition. Live Oak has not lost a game since the semifinals in 2010.
