UT?

Out of boredom decided to watch the first part of UT-Cal. A football game broke out! Though they screwed up at the end of the half still the best half I've seen out of the Horns in 3-4 ? years. They scored 24 on a good team in 30 minutes. They may fall apart in the 2nd but it's nice to see. Tied now.

Oops. I probably posted prematurely, again. But most of the 1st half was fun to watch from a Texas point of view.

Did you happen to hear the Texas fired their AD this week? At this point it won't make much difference in their athletic programs this year. But it sure might next year or the year after.

as someone who actually worked in that department... trust me. It is already making things better that he's gone. He did some good things, but most workers feel relief. His attitude and aloofness made their jobs harder. Not a people person

I turned it off when they were down 21 at the end of the third. I just couldn't imagine a comeback. Bet DKR was rockin by that last TD. The XP had to have been heartbreaking. Of course I couldn't imagine 650 yards out of the UT offense against anyone either.

I took the kids to the game. At the start of the 3rd, my 7YO asked if we could leave (it was an hour past his bedtime), so we left. I got them home and as they were brushing teeth, all of a sudden I got a message we had scored again. We turn on the tv and watch that awesome run. My phone exploded with a bunch of texts about how great it was, then the OMG, Nooooooooooo texts started coming through

Your excuse for missing the finish (personally in your case as you did see it on TV) is much better than mine. Maybe this offers hope against a couple of at least a couple of teams. When I turned off the TV I figured Strong was 2 and done.
