Is the won/lost determined using your point spread, or is it a straight-up won/lost? In other words, if you say Team A is favored by 25 and they only win by 20, is that still counted as a win?

Just winner pick...

A point spread is just that, the spread. It is to give a relative estimate of what could occur.... it should be nearer the mean as to games being on both sides of the spread...

if you were guessing with spreads and counting the way you propose, then you would create a program that would guess every spread by 1 (Team A by 1) and as long as they did, that would count.
 
Thanks, I was thinking that was the case, but couldn't help but ask since winning but not beating the spread is a loss by Vegas standards. Although, Vegas standards is a bit of an oxymoron to which we should probably not aspire.
 
Granger just "Toys" around with this little do-dad of his .... It's kind of ah "To Infinity and Beyond" thing with him .... Danged accurate though - seems like it always has been.

I have always marveled at the spread accuracies. I am impressed at how many 4 or 5 point ranges above or below the spreads predict. I always get a kick out of the people who get all bent out of shape when the spread is not right on.

Keep up the "playtime" Mr. Granger ....
