How about tdog not wanting supporting your team and look at the over all picture. Aquilla has not played anyone till Milford so that don't mean their defense is great and they lost.

This is really a tough question. How do you analyze it?
Going by points allowed thus far we have, randomly, among top teams, ppg;

Balmoreah, 14
Valley, 23
Borden County, 8
Happy, 36
Richland Springs, 19
Milford, 19
White Deer, 2
Garden City, 16
May, 11
Strawn, 11

It really depends on strength of schedule. Which skews analysis.
Richland Springs put up 74 on Borden County the first game of the year. But they didn't win.
What defense?
Shutting out less talented/well coached teams is not a good benchmark.
The Truth will only be found in the playoff's.

It really depends on strength of schedule. Which skews analysis. I been to all of BC's games for the past 5 years and I can't recall a game between RS and BC.

Ok I'm only listing the top ten in D1 as the link for D11 doesn't show points against.. I'm not here to argue strength of schedule as some have played multiple teams that have been shut out as other teams have actually played top 20 teams.. This is hard to argue the numbers don't lie these are some pretty good defenses.

Whitedeer #3 ranked 24 points allowed it didn't count for UIL BUT it happened on a real football field with a real scoreboard.

Mclean # 7 ranked 26 points allowed

Borden county #1 ranked 46 points allowed

May # 5 ranked 48 points allowed

Tioga# 27 ranked 71 points allowed

Aquilla # 13 ranked 77 points allowed

Marfa # 35 ranked 85 points allowed

Buena vista # 10 ranked 92 points allowed

Garden city # 4 ranked 130 points allowed

Happy # 2 ranked 162 points allowed

That as of week six I'm sure it changed since then but 7 of these teams are in top 10 in the state so you decide... I love defense and in sixman it's overlooked by the impressive offensive games put up. This is the total of points scored against these teams all year.

Thanks happy by a quick glance most of those are top 10 teams as well so maybe there is something to it thanks again

I edited my list after I saw what your list actually was -- Originally I only had top 10 ranked teams -- but, overall, 4 of the lowest-points-allowed teams are ranked in the top 10....

Being from groom I can't talk much since we are way down this year but I see Happy and Mclean outing whitedeer to there new basketball gym early
