Reminiscing about some really good late-season playoff games I’ve seen over the years. Two that stuck with me we’re GC-Throck 2009 84-80 and GC-BC 2010 44-42. Both were won by the eventual champion against tough opponents. I wouldn’t say they were underdog wins but they were games that came down to just one or two critical plays which decided the whole thing.

Just curious who on here has seen some real nail biters in the final rounds of playoff action in the six man universe.

Few things intrigue me more than a small west-Texas town with a six man playoff game scheduled for a chilly November Friday night.

I am sure there will be many here to get the details right on this. Semifinal 2001 RS vs Woodson. RS won on the last play after time was added to the clock because it didnt stop after an incomplete pass. RS first state appearance.

2002 Calvert vs Sanderson state Championship game Calvert down 32-0 at halftime only to come back and win!!Thinking the score was 51-46.Played in San Angelo

1994 Balmorhea vs Guthrie - Balmorhea returned the kickoff as time expired (11 secs) in the quarter final game to win 71 -70.

Believe it was 1989 Jayton vs Rule playoff in Stamford Tx. Ended in 50-50 tie. Went to 3rd tie breaking rule and Jayton advances by 1-2 more 1st downs. Probably best 6 man game I ever watched!
