The Todd Family

While perusing the Newspaper Archive, I came across a lot of articles about a former Crowell great by the name of Dick Todd. Until Kenneth Hall broke his record in 1953, he held the scoring title for Texas High School football with 318 points. He went on to be a star at A&M and played for the Redskins in the NFL and coached the New York Titans in the AFL. His son, Denny Todd, died during pre-season practice from a cerebral hemorrahage, probably caused by a concussion at Crowell in August 1961.

Is the Todd family still around the Crowell area and did any more boys play football there?
