Strength of Schedule?

Strength of schedule will only help your ranking before you play the team. If the team your playing is way better than their original ranking, there is no computer programs to adjust past games. It is what it is. Nothing wrong with the system, as none of the ranking dictate who goes into the playoffs.

I feel like you posted this thread because I made a valid point.

Caprock,
I don't think your point is particularly valid. A quick look at schedules shows that Crowell is the only one of the three that has played a tougher schedule than WV. Crowell has played Follett, T-Rock, and Valley which are all tough teams. T-Rock, on the other hand, has played Crowell, Dallas the Covenant, and Motley County. These three don't stack up quite the same and Ira has played Garden City. Again, you play the teams that are on your schedule and go from there but your "valid point"... not so valid.

the very well coached and mentored teams that have been successful and have a strong winning past improve playing teams that test the resolve of the players to stretch beyond their talent to win and if they loose they learn to use the fire deep with in the next team they meet in this same level of competition HOWEVER very good teams get key personnel hurt therefore they don't get to advance or be as competitive in the next round. I have seen in our district FT DAVIS GARDEN CITY AND RANKIN all have very good teams and beat each other up prior to the play offs,,, a few years back Rankin beat up on a very good Borden County team and they played Trock the next week, and Trock did not get beat on as hard the week before and were at full strength so playing a strong schedule doesn't mean that you are better or will ultimately win

Overrated, underrated... it doesn't matter anyway. Only thing that matters is what you do in the playoffs. I'm sure we can agree on that much, right?

1. didnt ganger use to have a strength of schedule on here or am i imagining that?

2. I agree with all of ya'll that the strength of schedule can actually make it tougher to make a run IF you have injuries, but if you get through a tough schedule healthy then the quality of opponents you have played can make for a very VERY prepared squad.

3. I didn't post this thread particularly because i feel you made a good point (i actually fully disagree with your reasoning as to why WV is over rated) haha. I did however post this because i was curious as to everyones own PERSONAL opinion of the toughest schedules out there this year, be it you top toughest, your top three, your top ten, or ranking em all would be cool. so whats everyones opinions?
