Strawn vs Oakwood

Usually when a team starts the season there is a few teams that get a little bit of attention during the year if they are in your schedule,Milford, RS, BC, Strawn, or GC are alway a team to circle year after year. But this year I know for a fact oakwood got strawns attention after beating up on lil brothers during the first game of the season and are looking to the match. If you think Strawn is over looking oakwood might think again I think they got strawns attention from day one.

Best bet to watch it live would be if an Oakwood or Strawn fan would be extra kind and go live on Twitter or Facebook.

Better not do the streaming thing......... the all knowing U.I.of L. frowns on that. Could cost your school a lot..........

Any word if the two teams are talking about moving the game? I heard several games are already being moved to Thursday and I heard one today moved to Saturday night. 100% of rain and windy and down in the 40’s on Friday. Hate to see the game decided on poor conditions.

If you haven’t already figured it out, the UI ofL gets most if not all of the revenues from radio and tv for state games and I would assume if they ain’t gettin’ their cut, they’re not happy and that is one group you want to keep happy............

Yeah, today it shows a hi of 52 Friday, low of 42 that night but 90% chance of rain that day, 100% that night. Thursday and Saturday not much better. 56 down to 46 Thursday with 40 the 50% chance of rain. Saturday hi of 47, 50% chance of rain but it could taper off later in the day, no chance shown that night.

Get your hooded rain slicker and rubber booties ready. Or Duster, hat and hunting boots. Leave early and slow down, drive safe.

Close to the same condition s for D1 East in Burnit. 60>45, 90 then 100% chance of rain.

Who knows when it will rain, it’s Texas right? Looking forward to seeing this game. I had a feeling these two would end up playing each other. Twelve of the most athletic kids in the state will be squaring off each snap. Strawn has it all, they’ve proven that. Oakwood has a ton of speed and is very physical. I wish this was the game at Jerry World!

Unless Oakwood can pull it all together, much better than when they played Richland Springs, I think at best they are a “longshot” to beat Strawn. (Pun intended). I just don’t think they are consistent enough to put four strong quarters together and I believe Strawn’s experience will prove to be the difference.

Well, fwiw I hope for a good clean game with no rain. Like the hippies at Woodstock chanted for. But that didn't work out, they got soaked, but then the sun came out. I don't want to get dampened or drenched so I'll come prepared. Old weathered hat, freshly saddle soaped and mink oiled hunting boots, and my long black CIA styled overcoat. And of course an umbrella.

The last line was real weak, you might want to work on it. You failed to mentioned railroads, grandmas, trucks, hounds howling at the moon, the Mule Lip Saloon or Mingus! Please re work for your final grade!
