I was at the Oakwood game too and I agree with your assessment of their talent and speed. Number 1 is pretty awesome. Having said that, my confusion, and that of the people I was with, is what happened in the second quarter to make them change both their offensive and defensive schemes? Leading 26-6 they inexplicably seemed to change both and ended up going in at halftime 32 - 26 when they should have been getting ready to go home with a 45. No offense to Richland Springs, with 4 starters out and mostly freshman and sophomores on the field, especially number 4, they made it a heck of a good game. In the 3rd and 4 th quarters there were a few times Oakwood exhibited only a few of the flashes of the brilliance of the first quarter. Oakwood looked tired and sluggish, frustrated and a bit confused. In the end they won but the dominating performance of the first quarter never returned.
If they perform against Strawn in this manner it will be a Strawn rout.
Best wishes and prayers for all the players for an injury free game.
