These are from the Official UIL stat sheets, there are more individual player stats that I didn't include here.

This is the first time I have seen the UIL have a stat crew there to record the official stats...just another step in helping recognize the world of six-man football and the kids! Thanks UIL!

I am proud of Parsley. First truly efficient passer I have seen in a state game. Sure, there have been amazing arms in six man, but I have never seen a QB like him at the six man level. Definitely look forward to seeing him play next season, and to hear if the kid decides to play at the next level. There hasn't been many six man players I would think would be pretty effective at the D-I level, but I think in an offense like Stephen F. Austin or Southeastern Louisiana, I bet he could succeed.

Last year Chance Bush of Richland Springs was 10-11-0 for 224 yards 3TDs and Bryson Oliver of Throckmorton was 7-10-0 for 257 yards 4TDs

Both those were very efficient!

Bush's QB rating would have been 351.96
Oliver's QB rating would have been 417.88

Yes they were but it wasn't just the stats. The way he was playing, the way he threw the ball, he had that sixth sense about him that makes a QB really good. I'm not saying he is ready right away to step into a D-I program, I am just saying he has the potential to become a great player. Just an opinion. I was very impressed by him.

Ok Leman,

Thanks. Nice to compare. The DII game was crazier than the 1st game because it had some odd plays where yards were gained yet then you had to subtract some due to penalties. Plus the refs spotting the ball was hard to see way up there as you know! We didn't go by the score board as far as were the ball was spotted we always looked at the field.

Most of them are pretty close...execpt 1st downs for some reason

I noticed the major discrepancy on first downs. I have always been told that a run for a touchdown does not count as a first down. If that is wrong, let me know. That's an easy fix.

Counting touchdown runs. 20-7

Yes sir, my understanding is that any offensive touchdown includes a first down. If you think about it, whether they are from 30 yards out or from inside the 15, at some point they either had a 1st and 15 or 1st and goal and they covered the required distance for the first down. Not as important these days but in the pre-overtime days first downs were very critical. In fact as a player in high school and as a coach we have had several games decided by first downs. Thank you so much for the stats, for those of us that could not make it to the game or even those that were there it is cool to see how many yards kids and teams gained, etc... Take care and God bless, have a Merry Christmas, TR
