"SPREAD" has signed off

11-man fan
Just letting our Six-Man Family know that "SPREAD", which had been a long time poster on sixmanfooball.com and one of the "voices" of the Richland Springs Coyotes radio broadcasts for many years has been called home to his Lord Jesus Christ this past Saturday.
He was a awesome guy that loved the Lord!

John Reed was a real Prince of a fellow. And not only was he one of the "Voices of the Coyotes", he was also one of the best Coyote Callers to ever hit the great outdoors! He dearly loved his Coyotes in every sense of the word!
He is missed already.

Sometimes I step away from the board for a bit, then step back in and see something like this. When I saw this the other night, I found it difficult to respond.

SPREAD was a active and respected participant in this community. I enjoyed meeting and talking to him at games. It is hard to say you know someone when most of your communication is through a website like this, but between his messages and our conversations, I feel like we knew each other.

This is my 24th season of doing this. I wasn't raised in a six-man community, but I can say I grew up in one. SPREAD was one of the many people who helped make me feel a part of this. He will be missed.

RIP

For this I'll move away from Goobspeak...

John Reed was one of those rare humans who made you feel at home every time you saw him. The smile, the twinkle in his eyes and the infectious laugh always said, "it is so good to see you, come and sit a spell." Abundant in both the gifts of encouragement and hospitality John made everybody around him a little bit better and feel a whole lot better. I am better for having known (knowd) him. I knowd him and he knowd me and we made each other laugh...

I talked and text John several times during the last who knows so many years, met him once in Hico
during a Trinidad-RS playoff game, truely a fun a nice man,When KBAL would buffer out and i could no
longer stream it,I would text Spread and he would give me the score...RIP,My friend
