Imo not sure if Crosbyton or Shamrock will ever go 6man. I dont know if they have bigger classes coming up or not. Shamrock seems to be that way. Not sure about Crosbyton but driving through the town, it seems pretty nice.

I wouldn’t be surprised if none of these switched to 6-man, it’s usually until they are at their lowest point that they finally make the decision as that’s how it always goes.
For now we have two definite schools in Bruni and Rocksprings, possibly Sterling City, and Prairie Valley, if they join a district, and also Fruitvale and Ft Hancock that are just waiting for their numbers to drop low enough.

Agreed

Is Fort Hancock low enough to actually go into a 1A District or are they going to stay outlaw?
I read an article yesterday that, if I remember correctly, had them still sitting at 2A numbers but they have a very low football turnout, which makes it seem like their enrollment is down. The article chalked it up to parental safety concerns rising, which is keeping the kids from playing, as well as the fact that a lot of kids these days would rather have their faces in their phones and social media than be involved in extracurricular activities.

I've always heard that if they chose 11-man, no kids will show up to play. They like sixman better. But, I also think many of their athletes would rather get ready for basketball and baseball, sports that they could actually make the playoffs and receive post-district honors. Of course, I could be way off on that.

I see Hallettsville Sacred Heart School’s JV is playing a 6 man game this week (I’m assuming it’s a 6 man game and not 11 man). Does anyone know if they’re preparing to drop? They have a very successful history in TAPPS 11 man.

According to their coach, no, they have no plans to drop to six-man. They're just trying to get their JV some playing time.
