Like I have told people all year that have brought this up, I am humbled. It is also very surreal. Never in a million years did I expect this 'big city' boy to be honored in such a way. This weekend was so great in many ways. Getting to talk to coaches and fans (and some guys who were players and now coaches) was a lot of fun. After 25 years, we actually remember some of the stories!

Thank you again to the Texas Six-Man Coaches Association for this honor.

I agree it's well deserved. You have done more to promote the game than anyone I know of. It's a long ways from handing out The Huntress Report in the bleachers to this electronic newsfeed. I do miss the conversations in the "war room" from long ago.
