Drove down to Jonesboro to watch May and Jonesboro scrimmage. I won't bore ya'll with a lot of detail on the whole scrimmage. They had four different groups scrimmaging. When the front line varsity played May out scored Jonesboro 3-1, but had 2 turnovers. In my mind that made the scrimmage pretty even.
Across the south end zone of Pruitt Field, Jonesboro had metal signs about the size of a license plate. These signs were wired to the fence facing south at a distance of about 20 feet between each sign. They had the last name of families on each sign. Those families backed their pickup into their designated spot and the whole extended families sat under awnings, in or around their pickups. I don't know if each family had to pay something for the whole season, but it seemed like a good idea to me. It sure beats advertising signs!
Toward the end of the scrimmage, I masked up and headed for the restroom/concession stand. I was doing my due diligence about distancing, standing about six feet from a lady at the concession stand window, waiting for the window to clear. There was a young girl walked up, took one quick look at me and my distancing cut right in line in front of me. On reflection, what could I have expected to happen? You leave that much distance in a line for food. C'mon now! My jaw dropped, but she didn't no it, I was still masked up!
