Thanks to the good folks from Rising Star for putting this on. It was a fun day. Lots of great competition and good people.

The only thing I can think of to suggest to do differently would be to review the clock handling with the kids who are referees. The clocks were stopping between plays rather than having a 15-minute running clock half. Games went for an hour rather than 30 minutes, with probably 3 times as many plays as there would normally be with a running clock. That made for a LOT of extra running for the kids. Also, it might help to use a stop watch for the 3 second rush count. Some of them knew how to count off "one thousand one....one thousand two....one thousand three...", but some of the counters got to 3 in just 1 second. Those clock issues were the same for all teams, so it was fair. Just off. It made the fun last longer, I guess.
