Strength of Schedule, point differential. They have played some quality opponents and though a losing record have not been 45'd but 1 time by Klondike (who by the way has done the same to all opponents). The sixmanfootball pick em' which selects games by the same data is currently #11 in the competition. Not Bad. But I would say the main reason is because they would win against all or most opponents ranked below them from #20 thru #73.
They're 3-6 now if that makes any difference. On a serious note, though, there is a lot that goes into The Toy's calculations. Opponent strength is a big driver, and they've had a tough schedule for the most part. They had the 11th toughest non-district schedule this year, according to our ratings, so losing some of those games probably doesn't hurt them much because that's what The Toy expected in those games. Teams aren't going to lose, or gain, many points for doing exactly how The Toy predicted they would in those games.
And it was tied for 3rd this week, which I'll take all day long! Of course this week was the toughest week we've had all year in the pick 'em. The winner went 23-7, which is the worst record, by a winner, all season so far with just one week left to go.
