Pretty ticked off

So Good Morning America decided it would be a great idea to interview these 2 San Antonio Jay Football Players who assaulted the Ref in their game against Marble Falls. I read the transcript of this interview of these two "victims". They blamed their coach for giving them the Code Red and blamed the Ref for using Racial Slurs.

I'd like to ask the Moreno kid that when he was inadvertently NOT ejected and subsequently got a 15 yd personal foul for a late hit on the Marble Falls QB when he was taking a knee; Was he instructed by a coach? Did the Marble Falls QB use a Racial Slur? Or is he simply a punk?

I'm surprised Obama hasn't invited these two to the White House.

Speculation is that this is more evidence of the fundamental change we were promised back in 2007-2008. What will be exciting to see is how far it will go, be allowed to go.
I love justice that leads to peace, but this is evidence of something else. Feels like a reckoning.

I'll respectfully disagree on the race baiting.

I am not shocked GMA had these guys on. It's all about the ratings. Complete trash.

What upsets me is that we haven't had the referee's testimony yet. He's not saying much (which I am completely fine with) until it is time. No reason to play this out in the media. Like a friend's mother always said to us "fools' names and fools' faces, always seen in public places"

IF this referee said something racist: 1) it does not excuse their behavior 2) where were the other refs? This is what we need to get to the bottom of (and I am guessing TASO eventually will)

IF their coach told them to hit the ref: it does not excuse their behavior

I agree these guys need to be held accountable, as do their coaches that were involved. I do not agree with their lawyer in any way, shape or form that these kids have suffered enough.

I also agree the ref should be held accountable, IF he said/did something. I will wait to hear what he has to say...

Leave it to the Guru to be the voice of sanity and reason.

I'm going to have to disagree with Granger. It is race-baiting. Maybe not by the two punk kids in question, but by the media.

- It was CNN who first attached race to this issue. Then the two kids decided it was racist and ran with that excuse. Now ABC is fanning the racist flames yet again.

- I'll ask you this: If it were two white kids who pulled this crap and tried to defend their actions because of racist remarks made by a black official, how much attention would this angle be receiving?

This entire portion of the discussion is based on nothing but racism, real or perceived. Whether for ratings or not - what ABC and CNN are doing is classic race-baiting.

Both ideas seem smack on. The media uses a low-life tactic like race baiting to attract attention increasing their ratings which increases revenue. Media savvy like that doesn't work as well as yesteryear, but what else do they have to reverse their decline. Honest and unbiased is not their mantra.

Where's the "like" button? Spot on analysis. Liberal media at it's finest.

It's not a liberal media. It's not a conservative media. It's a 1% media. That 1% own 95 + % of what we see/hear/read. They use both perspective's as needed. Forgive my rant. I try not to delve into politics on here. But the media is a pet peeve. Freedom of speech is our most precious right.
