Folks, early this morning, I was able to talk to a good friend and share the happiness of the birth of his new son.
Little did I realize that later that day, our family would experience a profound and unexpected loss of our nephew, age 23, in a swimming pool accident at their home. He had just graduated from college in December and today learned about a new job he would start at an art museum (he was an art major).
Please keep his mother (who discovered him), father, sister and the rest of the family in your prayers.
