Folks, keep my friend Jacob Lee (a former principal at Seguin Lifegate) in your prayers. Several years ago, he was called to begin a Christian mission in northern Uganda and about a year or so ago, after much pre-planning, land purchase and construction, he and his wife relocated to the mission to build churches and train local pastors in that area.
Their "compound" is near the Uganda/South Sudan border and during the past week, has been the focus of some serious tribal/border warfare, with homes and churches burned, a number of people killed, and refugees fleeing to both sides of the border. Jacob's mission has become a refuge for a number of locals and they have seen neighboring homes burned and had to "fight off" at least a couple nights of gunfire.
Please keep Jacob and Carol and all who are with them in your prayers and ask for His continued safety in the storm ...
