Game of the Week?

Could the Jayton & Blackwell game this Friday night be the game of the week in West Texas DII? Both teams won by a large margin last week and both appear to be ranked fairly close to each other in the DII division with Jayton being #18 and Blackwell #19.

I read where Blackwell has gone from being a "dark horse" to a front runner. I heard they also have a fairly new coaching staff on board that has motivated the players. Supposedly the kid that came from Panther Creek is a good QB. I talked to an old college friend and he said that Blackwell is very quick this year and has a lot of speed in the back field as well.

Jayton always seems to be prepared and has goood teams. This looks to me like a game to try and make in week 1.

I heard that possibly one of the running backs might have been injured this past week for Blackwell. This might be just a rumor. I hope this is not the case in that with such a close predicted game I would like for both teams to have all their players for the fans that are making the game.

What a game. I am glad I got to make the drive and watch these two teams play. Jayton has a good team and should do well the rest of the season. Blackwell was good as well and it will be interesting to see them down the road in the playoffs.

Both teams have good QB's and running backs. Blackwell appeared to be on their game as far as this only being the second game of the year.

I have to agree that blackwell has gone from being a dark horse to a team that could go very far down the road.

From where I was standing I hope that the coach that went down on the blackwell sideline can get up today. He got taken out on a play by one of his own players (I think #34) making a tackle on a jayton player but the coach did get back up.

Final score 34-15 blackwell. Good game to have been at.

Yeah me too....hope Coach Lowry isn't too sore! I was very proud of our kids. They left it all on the field. Hats off to the jayton boys! They have an outstanding, well coached group.
