From everything I've heard and read that must have been a great game. Wish I could have made it there, and Mt. Calm and Coach Satcher, a great place and a great school to host.
But I have to say, Cougarfan13, why after posting a great thread about the game, do you feel the need to follow up that post with such a negative, stupid post. Just because people that post some comments may or may not have grown up in 6 man towns, or even played the game, you feel the need to show your ignorance by ending the post the way you did. Very classy. OUT!
Not even sure if this is sarcasm or what, but will say the game played in Mt Calm on Friday night was as good a game as I've seen in some time. Game was very close, and CHANT came up an extra point short of advancing. I definitely enjoyed the game and appreciate these schools choosing to play in Mt Calm.
Coach Satcher, not sarcasm, but sincerity. The community of Mt. Calm, the school and program you have there are first class.
As for the rest of my post it was written to cougarfan13, but once I posted, the second post they had written had been deleted.
I should have copied his post, because I was referencing the "LOUD" comments from Cougarfan13. I was impressed all the way around and regardless his opinion about the atmosphere of the game, it was a playoff game; and a great one at that!
Cougarfan13-
Surprised at the comment of someone from the 6 Man community whining about the lack of "pagentry" at the game- As a consideration, both teams traveled to a mid-point for the two teams, both more than 2+ hours away...No buses, no transportation other than family vehicles-
Everyone on both sidelines was there as a "volunteer"- Coaches, Assistants, trainers, etc...No one here gets a stipend, can defer anything to an AD or frankly even has a budget beyond what the families pay in fees to be able to field the team-
CougarFan13- I would encourage you to come North some Friday night and watch these boys play a Home Game at "The Farm"- every bit as loud and proud as anywhere in the state- Proud of what these boys accomplished and played their tails off..
What you apparently missed was an amazing game played by two fantastic team that had the "Home Team" scoring with .9 left on the clock needing an extra point to send it into OT....Sorry the actual football game got lost in your need for cheerleaders, bands, booster club events, and a halftime 40 yard field go try for a new car.....All you got was a great, hard fought football game....sorry you were disappointed...
When I posted "loud" I meant exciting, sorry to disappoint, I was just surprised a game was being played here when I heard the crowds cheering. It wasn't a put down of anyone...SOOO SENSITIVE....
