Places To Consider

I was on The Old Coach the other day
and saw they had a topic called
Places I Would Never Work
or something to that effect.

Would we care to venture into that dark night?

As I'm not a Coach and all I've seen on The Old Coach is crowded field stuff then in that context I'd have to start with Dallas and Houston (traffic, smog, crime etc.).

Mr. Canine: Why don't you start the thread with your choices? I have some for sure. Ha

Ha. In your case sir could I venture a guess that might mean anything West or North West of San Angelo? You do have trees there, although personally I kind of like Fort Davis too.

Good Point.
Several said those super crowded places
in general.
Some said West Tx cuz it was too dry
some said East Tx cuz it was too wet. etc.

Some had a very long list
of specific schools,
that they adamantly refused to go to again,
although I can't imagine why.

Places I'd love to coach at before retirement... if I wasn't stuck in this frozen wasteland.

WOW!!! You got a lot to look forward to!! Setting them goals pretty high! Geeeeezzzz!

Actually,
The more I think about it,
shouldn't we be holding these schools,
who just run their guy (and his loving family) off
for no good reason,
more accountable?
Especially when they do it a lot?
There doesn't appear to be anything wrong with holding coaches to such high standards.
That Midland Lee situation ticked me off.
jus sayin'.

There was another thread somewhere
where someone was namin names.
Hmmm...

What if we didn't name any names
but just acknowledged (or not)
whether we've ever worked someplace (a school, not Taco Joe's or someplace like that)
that we wouldn't recommend.
Is that not a fair question?

I'll go first.
Yes,
I've worked for one school,
(that while the present personnel are still there)
I could not in good conscious recommend.
Then,
I'm sure there is at least one school,
(maybe three),
that would not recommend me
because of my modern philosophies.

I'm afraid being better looking than most
Supe's and Princes
is also a cross I must bear.
So...
there's that.
