Maybe not, but, then, you haven't seen Buckholts play. They have improved game by game. Their defense has become pretty awesome with two of their players rated in the top eleven in the state, Ivan Morales and Levi Braddock. This is not to take away from the rest of the defense which has had an awesome season. Their offense is led by the number two quarterback in the state in six man, Nathan Rice, who has only been sacked three times all season and has thrown for 2081 yards with an average of 208.1 yards per game and had only six interceptions all year. This is not to take away from the rushing with an average of 164.6 yards per game. Buckholts has played some tough teams, Jonesboro, Calvert, and Tomball early in the year. They could have won against Jonesboro if they had capitalized on their red zone penetrations. These three games were before their defense came together, if they were to play these teams again, I am more than sure they would win. I am not just a fan, I grew up on football. When I was twelve, my uncle was a high school All American football player, we never missed a game. He went on to play for Bear Bryant at Texas A&M where his knees got so bad they had to carry him up the stairs to his apartment. He played with Jerry Tubbs in High School and one of his best friends in college was John David Crow. When he quit because of his knees, Bear told him that he had him slated for college All American and was sad to lose him. I have been a great fan of football over a great span of years. There is a feeling when a great team comes on the field and Buckholts inspires that feeling. Coach Satcher has done a more than great job of mentoring and coaching these boys. They are all good boys, and he is an awesome coach.
