Cowboy we all know aquilla is your first choice but the first post in this thread said it should of been an easy win? When aquilla beats a good team instead of a depleted Calvert squad and a very low ranking Coolidge team(that they couldn't 45)then talk mess. Lometa(as aquilla knows from last year) runs a very organized spread. Our boys, on AstroTurf and in 105+ temps that day were up until the 4th Q. They played hard and rode a non air conditioned bus 3 hours before playing too. A few more weeks will decide how easy that lometa victory should if been.

Excuses Excuses.... its always something... no one cares about the bus ride or the heat or how long you lasted the only thing people care about is the end result. There's no ifs ands or buts about it. Don't get pissed because your team lost and don't down a win by another team. I have seen both teams play this year. I was fortunate enough to make the Aquilla Calvert game. Calvert is young but very dangerous as always. I also watched Penelope play Lometa and Penelope is big and had trouble with a smaller quicker team that spreads the field. You cant just say so and so will win based on last season you have to look at match-ups. If you can't be positive or not get hurt by someone's opinion of a team or game keep your mouth shut.

David, I stated my opinion that it should have been an easy win for Penelope - nothing else. I didn't dog them, & I haven't tried to minimize anything they have done. IMO, Penelope can't handle Abbott this year & definitely can't handle Aquilla, but if they manage to beat one or both, I'll congratulate them.
On different note, please be a bit more careful with your words before you get luckyleroy started on you...

about that lometa game last year, not trying to i guess brag on myself but when they met us(aquilla) last year the second go around we had our actual full team out there and ha didnt turn out so well for lometa, i recall 72-27

Did I read that correctly, this is what you believe to be so?!} Penelope, had actually won!! {Or played the entire game against such an unworthy opponent such as the depleted Calvert} This could be said for you my friend: Let this be a lesson. You shouldn't be putting other school down like you do! You constantly have so much negativity to post except for the FABULOUS Penelope!! You are arrogant and overly cocky! P.S-- I personally, have never liked the taste of crow myself. It's much to bitter. Enjoy maybe you can avoid it in the future.

I don't know what happened in Calvert other than the score cuz I wasn't there. And just by what I read on here doesn't always give a good pic to do a comparison. Was I wrong? Yea on a prediction and to underestimate Calvert. Does that give aquilla any more or less bite....no not really. I've seen teams 45 another and then get 45'd themselves only to have the first team beat the third who was highly picked. I'm not gonna sit here and make excuses for our boys cuz they lost and lost bad. Is it my fault they lost? Haha...don't think so. Do the coaches got something to work on...yup!!! You guys can point the finger at me all you want cuz I'm a big boy and I can take it. But it seems almost juvenile to argue how good or bad our district or a single team is from typing on a computer. I will say this though, after watching my nephew play for Bynum and them beat Coolidge the way they did...Abbott aquilla and penelope better be ready. And you aquilla people have school pride like we do. We don't wanna see our boys lose especially not like ours did last night. Just don't count your chickens before they hatch. District is one thing...all these other games mean nothing unless your cowboyp eating up the over rated aquilla team on this site. I think you fans are chomping at the bits about a higher rating while your kids play steady football. Just don't make them out to be what they are not or you too will have egg on your face. When aquilla plays a good team...not vanguard or Coolidge or Greenville...then I'll admit they are for real to go deep in the playoffs again. Until then, it's all up for grabs

Sorry to disappoint you all but I do have a wife and four kids and new job that pays a lot more $ than you losers make so I don't have a lot of time to dedicate to my arrogance. And overly cocky? Your damn right. I'm just that good. My s*** don't stink and I have no fear of anyone or anything...all I have is fury. But that's inside...I can admit I was wrong about my predictions but then again it's all pre-season so who cares. Maybe coach will have them in check by district...who knows.
