You strengthen my case with your example. Blum started at 46th. If the ranking determined the winner, would they be undefeated? NO, they wouldn't. They have moved up to 12th BECAUSE they are undefeated. Take a look at who Crowell, Garden City, T-Rock, Ira or Water Valley beat this year. Strength of schedule, there's your difference. I hate to say it, but I don't think May is a top 5 team at all. They're probably ranked right where they should be. I don't say this because of some kind of east/west bias (I know this thing is cyclical and next year the top teams could be in the east) I say it because that's just the way it shakes out this year.
