Is RS going to change their mascot to the excited mooses now?

That would be the Armadillos Pete, the moose is on hwy 16 san saba
Actually the moose I saw was on 580..........................It could replace the Chupacabra as the mascot for HHR&WPC&SWW. The Fighting Moose...................I kinda like it..............
Friend of mine had a horse that he called Moosehead..........He had a large head but I think my friend just liked Moosehead beer............

yep but Mr. Moose was at the entrance to the old Carter Place where the practice arena is............I don't think he would have crossed Chapel Road to get to 16........Maybe he is adventurous as well as amorous.............................
I am not aware that his ranch fronts 16...... has a place on Sloan Road though

Anybody want some 7-toed KittyKats? If you can catch em you can have em.....they are purty wily having avoided the coyotes thus far in their young lives.........................Momma Kat is about ready to kick em off the subsidy wagon..................

Actually,
Bigfoot prefers 7toed cats over 5.
More toes mean more flavor.
jus sayin'.

And on a totally unrelated note...
you can't post during the day,
even though you work in a computer lab.
It's unprofessional.
Or so I'm told.

What if you are a professional poster?.................Would posting during the day re-instate your amateur status?..........................
Just askin'.....................................................

Got an observation & a question.... I read Obk's comment about Rankin's school census not increasing despite oil patch increased activity.
I have the impression that most of the patch workers are transient. Even if some do settle in the area aren't most of the workers either fairly young & single or older "empty nesters" pursuing second careers?
From what I've seen the biggest building boon in these areas is not single or multiple-family housing but hotels and restaraunts.
I realize its a "build it & they will come" type thing that the support industry for the oil industry could provide more permanent jobs. What do y'all see?

I know GC has at least two burger stands now........
A cousin in Big Lake is making a killing with a RV park......
The trucks are beating the heck out of all the roads......

I wonder what caliche is selling for these days......

Folks around here are shutting off their center pivots and selling water to the oilfield for fracing. They're making a heck of a lot more money that way rather than growing cotton.
