New Turf

After reading some comments in the lovely Callahan County Rants and Raves on FB it got me wondering, Baird is turfing their football stadium, but are they turfing it looking to the future where they may go back to 11-Man or are they dead set on 6-Man at this point. There numbers (in my opinion) are not low enough to make a definitive decision on SIX MAN. Did they think it through like i believe Coolidge did and turf an 11-Man field but have the middle a darker green where a six man field would be. Hopefully UIL does not monitor FB comments because there were some incriminating comments about local 6-man schools keeping their numbers low to keep from moving up. Any thoughts or insight?

I've heard of a few 6man schools will be playing up to 11man after next realignment even if theyre below 104.5...

Google maps shows Oakwood with 11-man field with dark green 6-man field inside of it. It is shown west of the high school probably a quarter mile.

White Deer for sure, Naz (not sure after next realignment but heard many folks from there say they plan on moving back to 11man in the near future) Springlake-Earth (heard from a buddy), Whiteface (turned in 108 last realignment), Wildorado (just a matter of time).

Weird that is even a rumor. Fact is, Whiteface was well under the number at the start of last school year. Sitting in mid-90s.

They built an 11 man field in hopes of holding playoff games. Couldn't imagine oakwood ever going back to 11 man

so how Baird did it was we have the six man field darker than the 11 man and we can move the field goals back so we have have it set up and can host 11 man
