New Coach needs help with blocking

I am a second-year head coach and my biggest issue last year was blocking. We mostly run J-Bird in tight. I am wondering if anyone could help me by showing me what blocking schemes you would use against different defenses. Anything helps and thank you in advance.

Eyes straight, feet straight, good stance, fire off the ball. Won't give the play away to the defense. If your end is looking at his block, dead give-away where the play is going.

We always went gap first (duh), head up (helmet to helmet 2nd, off ball 3rd meaning backer, 4th was outside. We aleays kicked out, didn't hook so #4 was a called block. Unless you prefer hooking.

1. Heads up
2. Back-side Gap
3. 2nd level

This is what I use for 6man... Had some good O-line blocking While I was at Lutheran and Dallas Lakehill when we ran tight formations.

What???? Gap is always first bro...play goes right. You block left. Why leave the gap open? To get your QB killed lol.
Are you confused? When my lineman go to the line they read the defense. Is there anyone heads up? If no, next they look and see if anyone is backside gap, if yes they take the gap block… if neither are there then they know to go 2nd level with angle. The o-line tells my Q and Wing who to get. It’s simple 6man football.. 11man my blocking scheme would be different but this is a 6man site so I won’T go there.

If the play goes right and someone is heads up over my lineman they will fire step with right foot and turn defender left and drive left… if backside gap they firestep left foot and beat defender on snap and drive them out, if 2nd level linemen will zone block and turn butt to playside. It’s simple… I have EDD for this blocking scheme
