My 2 cents for what its worth

I have been watching dawson, grady , borden co, most of year. How can bc be rated so high ? Can someone explain this please. They were rated high at start of season, started losing and kept losing. This must be computer generated. Computers have no common sense. Someone sure puts out a lot of time and effort to rank all these teams. Borden Co favored over Klondike, please. My guess Klondike will play to POUND on them all four quarters. Not wanting to end game early on purpose. Klondike by 44 at end of game. Where would bc be if odonnell beats them?

I'm not sure that was worth the 2 cents that you claimed.

ummmm, what ranking are you looking at? 25 out of 70 isn't that high.
Klondike only has 1 more win than BC, so there's that.
I think you are biased.

But here are the results of the Guru's why test. (he's called that for a reason)

Borden County (2-5) is currently ranked #46

def #195 Plainview Christian 75-0

The games that catches my eye most quickly is the Dawson game.
BC lost to Dawson by 5
Klondike lost to Dawson by 35

Oh, and then there is the fact that you are looking at things backwards. The fact is that rankings are determined by the result of games. Not the other way around.

I agree with you about the rankings.

The Sanderson Eagles have been stuck in the 24 -25 ranking despite a 6 and 1 record.

Their one loss was to Rankin 46-0, which was alot closer than the score indicates. Rankin led 22-0 with under 2 minutes to play in the ist half. And the Eagles actually scored with a little over 2 minutes left in the half. The Eagles faked a dive to the left which fooled everyone and tossed to the right. The fake was so good that the REF on the left sideline blew the play dead as our RB scored on the pitch to the right. Result no TD. So it should've, could've been 22 - 8 Rankin at the half.

Oh well, no use in crying over split milk. The next two weeks should open the eyes of the experts and bring some attention to the Eagles.

According to this website, the Eagles are favored over the Buena Vista Longhorns by only 25 points. it will be over at half. Sanderson 54 Buena Vista 6.

People just don't know about the Eagles. YET.

So far, everyone has said the current rankings have nothing to do with past, just the spread. For example, we lost of Calvert when they were #61 overall and #22 in DII and Waco Methodist was ranked #97. Now they're both ranked in the Top 31 overall and Top 10 in each of their divisions; but it made no difference in our ranking. We were considered huge favorites in both games, so we dropped quite a bit; but we were not better than either team. We actually had the lead on Calvert in the 4th, but came up short. The only spread we didn't cover that was realistic was our first game of the season with Cen Tex. All I'm saying, is if teams were way better than their initial ranking, and a team loses to them; why drop them so far in the rankings, without adjusting later in the season? I think we're about where "we" need to be.

Odd number -
(18-0) - record of the teams we lost to.
((31-7) - record versus our opponents (minus 1-7 Prairie Lea)

Went from 25 to 40, which again, isn't a bad drop for a 4-3 team. Just trying to add to the conversation.
