Montana vs Texas

Friday night Sam Houston State will be playing at Montana State for the quarter-finals of the only NCAA play-off championship on ESPN2.

MSU travelled to Texas last year and were knocked out of the playoffs by SHSU. This year the tables are turned and the Bear Kats get to come to Montana. So now we are going to find out how tough these Texas boys are? Can they handle a little snow and some elevation to repeat last years stompdown on MSU? They are fast and run that keep-away-option running game, but how will they fair against the revamped MSU defense?

To add a little 6-man flavor the Young brothers will be playing for my Bobcats. Chase (reciever)and Rhett(linebacker) are from Augusta, MT, played 6-man in high school, and will both star on special teams. So are there any of the "awsome" TX 6-man players on the SHSU team?

Well, so much for my attempt to talk smack.

Montana fell flat on their face, 34-16. Sam Houston State has now ended our season for the second year in a row. Them Texas boys are the real deal, even with snow, cold, and over a mile high in elevation, they stomped us. Speed still kills.

It is tough for me now. 6-man has been over for almost a month, SHSU has knocked my Bobcats out of the playoffs, I'm a KC Chiefs fan (sooo?), and there ain't even hockey to watch. Cripes I now have time to watch the NFR, and after that just basketball. I will NOT watch the pro game so it is off the high school to watch our youngsters play. Maybe I will look into taking up curling.....?

Sam Houston State is back in the Championship game for the second year in a row. They won last weeks game vs Eastern Washington by 3 pts after leading at the half by 30pts. They squeaked one out in Cheney, WA on the field that is called the Inferno (check it out on the internet, it is hideous). So are there any 6-man players on the SHSU team?

They now play North Dakota at the National Championship in Frisco, TX also for the second year in a row. This is for the only true NCAA championship!
Of course, there is that little bowl game that involves some team from Indiana and another from Alabama or is it Arkansas? Can't really remember cause it has been that long since either one of them played a football game. Kinda funny that they want to call that little bowl game a national championship game when the teams were chosen by a room full of fat old men and a computer.
