Hey Everyone,
My name is Kaden Hayes and I am looking to do a career change into the field of Teaching and Coaching. I do not currently have my Alternative Teaching Certification. However, I would be willing to start this process with Teachers of Tomorrow or any other preferred Alt Cert program once I get an idea of the where I can potentially start.
For some context, I grew up in Robert Lee, TX and attended Robert Lee ISD which is a 1A school district. I have a good idea of the sacrifices and duties that are needed to excel in a smaller school district, and I believe that my background would allow me to connect to the students and athletes in a meaningful way.
During my time as a student at Robert Lee ISD I participated in a variety of sports such as Basketball, XC, and Track. Track and XC would be my preferred sports - However, I do have an interest in learning how to be an effective football coach as well. Regardless, I would be willing to learn any sport that is needed.
I currently work at UT Permian Basin here in Odessa, TX, which has allowed me the opportunity to work with groups of all ages within various contexts such as Athletics, Freshman Orientation, Admissions, etc. Moreover, UTPB is where I received my degree in Communication, which I believe would allow me to excel in a classroom setting.
Lastly, I have been living out in the "desert" here in Midland/Odessa for quite sometime, so my significant other and I would prefer moving closer to Weatherford/Dallas/Ft. Worth as we enjoy these areas greatly!
I feel confident that I would perform well in classroom and coaching settings and I would love to play a positive and significant role in the lives of students.
Thank you all for reading, and I appreciate any feedback or potential offers.
