Varsity Head Volleyball Coach
Teaching Assignment and Other Coaching Duties as Assigned
Leverett’s Chapel ISD is seeking a Varsity Head Volleyball Coach for the upcoming school year. This position includes a teaching assignment and other duties as assigned. Leverett’s Chapel ISD is a small rural school district located approximately ten minutes south of Kilgore and operates on a four-day instructional week. We value strong relationships, high expectations, and a student-focused culture.
Position Details
The Varsity Head Volleyball Coach position carries a coaching stipend of $9,500. A CDL is required for this position and includes an additional $1,000 stipend. The teaching field is open, but the assignment will most likely be Middle School Social Studies. For the right candidate, the district is open to considering a qualified paraprofessional coach.
The district pays $1,500 above the state base salary. A retention bonus is provided at Christmas. Leverett’s Chapel ISD is currently in Year 1 of the Teacher Incentive Allotment application process and is committed to supporting instructional growth and teacher development.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet UIL and district requirements for coaching assignments. Appropriate certification is required for the teaching assignment, unless hired as a paraprofessional coach. Coaching experience is preferred, but not required for the right candidate. Candidates should demonstrate strong leadership, a commitment to student athletes, and a willingness to be part of a close-knit rural school community.
