RIP Larry ,As a kid we had one mlb game televised a week on a Saturday afternoon 90% of the time it was the Yankees the Mantle name was a gathering around the tv on a Saturday Mickey Mantle Roger Maris and a lot more than yall would know, other than Oldbearkat ,Falstaff beer commercials a classic, RIP Mantle

At least one more remembering the Baseball game of the week with Dizzy Dean and Peewee Reese. Old Dizzy would get to drinking that Falstaff and put on a show. The English Teachers would write in about his misuse of the English language. RIP Larry Mantle.

Best part of the Yankees was their losing the 1960 World Series to the Pittsburg Pirates in seven games. Bill Mazeroski, Smokey Burgess, Vern Law, Dick Stuart, Dick Groat, Roberto Clemente and company did them in.
