Watched it tonight, one of our 3 every year along with my favorite White Christmas and the wife's Miracle on 34th Street. Just wanted to take this opportunity to say Merry Christmas to al on here.
Went to two of my grandkid's Christmas Programs on Friday (4th & 5th grades). Both started with this.
An old friend suggested I check this one out. I'd never heard it. I knew John Deutschendorf graduated from Arlington Heights H S in Fort Worth and went on to Texas Tech for a year or two. Didn't know he also wrote Leavin on a Jet Plane. There is a minute longer full version of the song out there with the full/clearer lyrics. But this one's pretty cool. Kind of dark and grainy, I suggest full screen.
Wonderful Life and White Christmas (watched tonight) are classics. I sang this song in choir in Euless Texas about 60 years ago, the What Child Is this version. In the last 20 or so years I've come to love this version of Greensleeves by Don Rich, Buck Owens fiddle and more player. Merry Christmas again.
