Sadly enough during my career in the Marines I had far too many instances where I dealt with young men who thought the 'roids' they were taking were legal, they bought them from some low life that touted them as undetectable and a great way to enhance their abilities.

Some times the abuse was discovered when the manifestations of the abuse led to disciplinary or health problems but for the most part they showed up during routine urinalysis. And depending on the rank at the time of the abuse the punishment ranged from loss or rank and pay to brig time. We had a zero tolerance for drug abuse.

What chapped my ass was we couldn't go after the source, what ever information was developed got turned over to the CID and I never found out what happened after that.

One thing for sure, at best, abuse led to aggressiveness, bad complexions, mood swings and most
suffered delusions. On the plus side sterility and testicular atrophy makes them less likely to breed
and they grow boobs.

What kind of "'roid" are you referring to? The term has been so over-used and mis-used by the ignorant ESPN/Bud Selig/John McCain crowd that high schools kids think protein powder is steroids.

Your anecdotal evidence is testimony to your following of the very crowd I was referring to in my last post. And you have the temerity to call me an idiot? Your ignorance even outshines your pride.

You seem to know what you're talking about, so I have something else you might be able to clear up for me. I've heard that some of the drugs used to help breast cancer victims by blocking estrogen production are also used by steroid users for the same purpose and that some "research drug" companies sell these drugs to people for this. Is there any truth to this?
