NOT LONG ENOUGH. This is the last straw. Wolf Brand Chili got thinner a few years ago after con agra bought it. Just 2-3 spoons of meat in the bottom of the bowl. Add more crackers or I've added left over chopped, diced or shredded hamburger patty, steak, even fajita (I know home made is always better but sometimes...).
Now they've gone an put pork in it. That's right, pig chili. I'm not an overly active label reader but for some reason the last time I bought a can I did. I've never known what kind of beef they used - not sure I want to. But this is going too far.
It didn't taste like bacon. Bet it's not premium ham. Never had the urge to try pickled pigs feet or snout.
Good-bye to an old standby.

Oh yeah. On the first one if you click on plain old no beans it does not mention pig. It does say "made with good hearty beef" (just not much of it). Maybe not false advertising but kind of misleading, maybe a "deceptive trade practice".
 
They answered. "glad to know you normally enjoy our chili...sorry to hear you don't care for the addition of pork","we do have a lean chili I think you would enjoy". I've tried it and agree with the reviews: "too thin to use on chili dogs, makes the bun soggy, threw it out". "I will share your comments with our Wolf Kitchen". "I'm sending you coupons that are good for a wide variety of MY faforite brands".
Wish they'd keep the coupons, take out the pig and add more beef.
 
Help. I've been looking for alternatives. Local grocery stores carry hormel, austex, or parade brand. These all slosh when you sake the can.
Any suggestions?
