backing out of one deal to take another.

Why would a school ask a guy
to drive hundreds of miles
to have a face to face interview
(which could have just as easily been done by Skype)
and then never even get back to him
and let him know what they decided about the job?
Are current Supe's and Princ's
that inconsiderate and unprofessional?
Obviously so.
