You do have a point. GF beat Follett who beat Crowell AND Valley - which are both ranked higher than Abbott or May in D-I.

I think this season - more so than any other in recent memory - D-II is just as good as D-I.

That is a bold statement alright. You are obviously lost in the euphoria of tonight's big win but the Cowboys certainly earned it and you should enjoy it. Congratulations to the Grandfalls-Royalty Cowboys.

Not to take anything away from GF/R - they did exactly what they had to do to earn a spot on the card in Dallas next week. But I think Follett peaked too early. I think that Follett was unbeatable around week 7 or 8.

OTOH - The Cowboys have been looking to avenge last years semi-final loss all season. After dropping a 10-point decision to WV in week 0, they sent 12 consecutive teams home early.

I can't get over how great this semi-final was. There's 3 other games left this week, and I highly doubt any of them will come close to Friday night's D-II semi-final game.
