After years as a K-8 district, Gholson ISD, located about 10 miles south of Aquilla, has decided to build a HS. They have also decided to play sixman!
They will play an outlaw schedule until the next realignment.

I noticed that the mailing address of the district was Waco. What district do they currently send their high school kids?

I believe they currently have a choice of Conally high school in Waco or West high school in West.

You are correct, but some choose Aquilla.

I talked to their coach today, & he said they will play JV & JH until they enter a UIL district in 2014.

I think it will take several years before 11-man is a possibility. Gholson is still a very small town.
