Appears to be a good public v. private battle this week as Austin Hill Country travels to Abbott. Spread shows Hill Country by 13. Both teams had appear to have had their way with Avalon, so not sure if that gives much insight.

I know it's a shot in the dark, but anyone seen both of Abbott and Hill Country play this year?

It's probably pointless to pick one team over another. Valley's screwed in pete's rankings regardless.

In light of that, I pick WV to win big over the reeling Red Devils. Rankin is the Red Devils, right? They should be banned from UIL competition just for having such an offensive, religiously overtoned mascot.

Don't forget the scary decal, when Water valley can come up with something better than stealing a logo from a NCAA program, then you have room to talk. Rankin is going to put a whopping on WV, RED DEVILS by 22 ! The devils put an end to all the hype Water Valley has been building up about this game.

good question - last week the winner was picked 77% of the games but the winning margins were rather wide on most games. I guess I could go back and see what the avg was. Given the explosive nature of 6-man ball a margin of 2 is kind of ridiculous. What it really means is that the two teams appear to be pretty evenly matched. But the fact remains the numbers and the difference is all I have to measure by.

If I could do the plus/minus like the political polls maybe then . . .
